South Fentress Baseball will be having sign ups today, Feb 12th from 3:30-6:30 in the South Fentress Elementary Cafeteria. Ages 3-15 are eligible to play. A birth certificate is required at sign ups.

Fentress County Schools will dismiss at 1:00PM on Friday, October 24. School breakfast and lunch will be served, and bus transportation will be provided as usual.

As we approach Fall Break, we want to remind students of some expectations for students regarding dress code, clear drink containers, school attendance, and tardies to school and class. DRESS CODE: Jeans/pants should not have holes above mid thigh, and midriffs and lower backs should be covered at all times. If in doubt, wear an undershirt. CLEAR DRINK CONTAINERS: Students are not allowed to bring Stanleys or other solid drink containers to school. All containers must be see-through. SCHOOL ATTENDANCE: Please turn in medical notes for any absences for any medical, dental, therapy, or other related absences. TARDIES: Students late to school or class will be assigned after-school detention. Students who fail to serve these assigned detentions will be assigned additional detentions. Failure to serve those detentions will result in Alternative School placement.
Jostens will be at CHS on Friday, 10/10 to meet with juniors and seniors about graduation regalia, letter jackets, class rings, etc. They will return on Friday, 10/24 during both lunches as well.
Representatives from Jostens will be at CHS on Wednesday, 10/8 to meet with juniors and seniors about graduation regalia, letter jackets, class rings, etc. Jostens will also be here on Thursday, 10/9 for Fall student portrait retakes and makeups for any students who missed School Picture Day on 9/12/25.
Seniors will complete the ACT Senior Retake, and Juniors will complete a practice ACT on Tuesday, 10/7 from approximately 8:30AM-12:00PM. Please ensure that your child gets a good night's sleep, eats breakfast, and is on time to school tomorrow.

Clarkrange High School parent/teacher conference night and Open House are Thursday, 9/25 from 3:00-6:00PM. We will have information about available clubs & organizations at CHS, scholarships and college information, & Skyward. We will also have door prizes and free food. See you then!
CHS Theatre Arts is hosting a fundraiser carwash this Saturday, 9/20 from 10AM-3PM at Swafford's IGA in Clarkrange. $10 per car and $15 per truck. Additional donations welcome!
Clarkrange High School will hold supplementary tryouts for 1-2 positions for the 2025-26 cheerleading team on Thursday, 9/25 from 4:00-5:30PM. Athletes interested in trying out must obtain a completed sports physical by 9/30/25 if you make the squad. Athletes should wear black shorts, white t-shirts, and athletic shoes for tryouts. Prospective athletes must attend one cheer practice on either Thursday, 9/18 or Tuesday, 9/23 from 3:30-4:30 before being allowed to tryout on 9/25.

Permission slips for the Be Pro Be Proud Tour Stop are due by Monday, 9/15. The Tour Stop will be at CHS on Tuesday, 9/16 & Wednesday, 9/17. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn about in-demand STEM/CTE skills and careers. A PDF copy of the permission slip can be found here.
